This is totally random. I noticed that some other friends had blogs out there, expressing what they knew, were good at, or just had to vent about. Well, I decided to do the same. What am I good at? Probably anything home-ec related. As I have moved around the country over the past several years, I have had my first own apartment and the glee of independence that comes with it. I have moved into others that left plenty to be desired and others that impressed me. I have had roommates and been alone.
I have painted my living room, just to paint it again (see questionable geometric wall pattern below), and again (the same day, a beautifully sunny orange, not shown) until it meets my expectations. I have had some serious screw ups (just ask my boyfriend), and some wow moments.

As an only child (say Im spoiled, I dare you!!! hmmph), I watched my mom cook and clean and always have the right item (earrings, sponges, shoe polish) for the right task at the right time. A few months ago, she picked up some Chinese-inspired coasters for one of my bffs and she decorated her whole place around them. Where she pulls these things from, I often have no clue. I can only aspire.
A little more about me: Im born and raised in Inglewood, California with dreams of doing something big and seeing the world, no kids, great boyfriend of about 3 years, no pets yada yada yada.... lets talk food now. :) I am fighting my womanly hips and have been running a lot lately, but I can never run from my love of a good snack. I love my food miniature and plentiful, I think it helps with portion control (at least that helps me sleep at night). I own a small sweets business called Sweetnis (#product plug) and I love to make small cakes, brownie pops (will explain later) trail mix and other goodies I will share with you all later.
So what will this blog be about? (Making this up as I go along) It depends but generally it revolves around decorating, DIY home improvement, DIY auto repair (knowledge is power), cooking and entertaining, cleaning tips, organization, fashion and style tips and whatever else pops into my head or on my blogroll...
After all, it's your life and whatever makes it more pleasant will make it less stressful, and no one wants a stressed nest!! I have found in my short life that as you make it a priority to take care of yourself, your relationships and your environment, life becomes more clear. Here are my two cents. Enjoy!
